Jornal T Interview

On 4 September 2026, Jornal T, the publication of ATP, the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, published a long interview with Diogo Gonçalves.

The interview runs through the questions we are asked most often: why shirting first, what premium actually means to us, why production stays in Portugal, what we do and do not yet offer on repair, and what the next five years should look like. It also covers the part of the story we do not hide, which is that the family workshop closed in 2024.

One point of clarity

D'HERITAGE was founded in 2026. The family workshop was opened in Vila de Cucujães in 1974 by Mário Pimenta Gonçalves and closed in 2024. The two are connected by people and by criteria, not by continuity of the business. We prefer to say that plainly, because the whole point of what we are building is that what is written can be checked.
